Our Objectives

To provide :

Better services to the PSARA Controlling Authorities, private security agencies as well as to the citizen

Quick implementation of government policies from time to time.

Improved/transparent image of Government & Department

Instant access to information related to private security agencies

To enhance ‘Ease of Doing Business’ in the sector, the initiative has been taken for electronic registration of private security agencies for ensuring higher transparency, security and reliability of operations through a countrywide unified database and provision of a citizen & trade-centric web-enabled environment. The newly developed application would provide for a multi-user environment wherein the applicants desirous to provide private security services are empowered to perform most of the PSARA-related transactions (including payments) either from the comfort of home or from authorized third-party service provider/s in their vicinity. Controlling Authorities can process and dispose of the online applications for the issue of licence to the agencies electronically via State login credentials. The end customers (citizens) can verify the details of registered private security agencies before hiring their services. A dashboard has been provided to the Ministry for monitoring the database via their login credentials.

The website also provides information regarding the PSAR Act, 2005, model rules notified by the Central Government, rules notified by the States/UTs, details of Controlling Authorities, licensed private security agencies, private security training institutes, private security agency employee grievance redressal system and it also offers reemployment opportunity to Ex-CAPFs through its CAPF punarvaas weblink, by connecting them with the private security agencies. This helps, to a large extent, in removing the hassles, by minimizing the extensive paperwork which used to be done on the ground and also in reducing the possibility of exploitation of uninformed citizens in the hands of middlemen. Going forward, a mobile-based application would be developed and integrated with the unified database for ease of operations.

With steady steps in the direction towards the achievement of its Vision, Mission and objectives, the ministry is progressing towards the provision of improved service access to citizens with quality and efficiency in service delivery, transparency in the system, and reduced workload of the offices of PSARA Controlling Authorities.
